I created “All About Affiliate Marketing” to supplement what students learn at Wealthy Affiliate. It helps you to see what tools you need, how the business works, to decide the difference between business models, how affiliate marketing works if you have an existing business, and various other things I’ve learned over my time in the industry. I give this course away for free at How to Entrepreneur. You can check out my free e-course here.
Giving away a free informational product such as an e-book, an email series or a mini-course is a popular tactic many affiliate marketers use. Usually, your readers will have to provide their email addresses to receive the product from you. You can then use this to sell to them via email marketing. Additionally, an informational product can generate interest in the actual product you're trying to sell. If your product is popular enough and brings enough traffic to your site, you could also monetize the traffic in other ways, such as AdSense.
Affiliate marketing can make you a passive income. This is the type of income that makes you money while you sleep. However, it can only happen if you know what you are doing. Many have tried and failed. The thing about affiliate marketing, it is not about merely copying what others are doing. It is about treating this as a business and using affiliate marketing to sell products if you currently don’t have your own.

This course will enable you to work from home while selling t-shirts using only Facebook and Teespring. This affiliate marketing course is a bit different from most other courses that focus heavily on building a website, writing content, do SEO, having some technical background, waiting for months for traffic to trickle in, and having an extensive email list. However, here you would merely be setting up short 7-10 day ad campaigns and drive traffic to those campaigns via inexpensive Facebook ads.
I use Teespring to sell and deliver the t-shirts. I simply set up short, 7-10 day, campaigns in Teespring. Then I drive traffic to those campaigns with inexpensive Facebook ads. Don't worry, I show you how to get cheap clicks and you can get started with just $5 to $10 per day in ad spend. The whole business is simply setting up t-shirt campaigns and driving traffic to them.

The advertising company sets the terms of an affiliate marketing program. Early on, companies largely paid the cost per click (traffic) or cost per mile (impressions) on banner advertisements. A technology evolved, the focus turned to commissions on actual sales or qualified leads. The early affiliate marketing programs were vulnerable to fraud because clicks could be generated by software, as could impressions.
Let no one tell you that email marketing is dead. An email list is crucial for every affiliate marketer. You can start building up your email list with a lead magnet (like the information products mentioned previously) or even just by encouraging your audience to sign up for your updates. You can then push your content to this audience via email and also direct them to your affiliate offers. Don't be sleazy about the sales, but if you build up enough trust with your email audience; when the time comes, they will not mind purchasing a product from you.
Well, WA keep coming up and its FREE, so I think that I have found where I want to start. My one thing is that everyone seems to say that they will be your mentor just so you sign up and then eventually go Premium. Because we all know that is where you get the bigger lay out. Which is not a bad deal at all. But I’m one that likes to have that type of guidance from one person instead of reaching out to 100 and having no clue which persons advice I should take. It seems like I should just try to find someone I think that I can click with and hope for the best???
Ever wonder how top affiliates do it? How can they refer so many customers just from the product prelaunch? You may have seen some affiliate contests before. They usually have premium prizes for the affiliate who made the most sales. The goal of these contests is to get their affiliates moving in promoting the products and services of the company. However, the top spot is not for everyone. It is only for the most skilled. In this course, you’ll learn the skills that top affiliates have and how you can ace the next affiliate contest that you come across.
Great post and right on target. I found that if you blog and/or do videos that sharing little stories will help connect you to potential leads. I do how-to videos and posts and I always tell personal stories or my own experiences that relate to the subject. It works and I get personal messages from people about it. It makes you more real and down to earth in the viewer's eyes. Once they like you and trust you they will become a lead and hopefully a sale. They may very well become a regular buyer because you will be their go to person. For best results it's best to blog daily and do at least one video a day.
A more complex system, pay per lead affiliate programs compensates the affiliate based on the conversion of leads. The affiliate must persuade the consumer to visit the merchant’s website and complete the desired action — whether it’s filling out a contact form, signing up for a trial of a product, subscribing to a newsletter, or downloading software or files.
